Emerge is proud to announce its further expansion in California with the addition of two attorneys, Timothy Alger and Delia Rojas. Tim and Delia will provide business, regulation, intellectual property, and litigation advice and representation to our many clients with operations and legal needs in California, and will work hand-in-hand with our strong team of legal professionals based in Oregon and Washington.
The addition of Tim and Delia strengthens Emerge’s statewide California practice, with offices in Irvine, Los Angeles, and Santa Rosa. Our lawyers are equipped to represent clients in courts throughout the state and with regulators and elected officials in Sacramento and in major cities. The Santa Rosa location is just south of the Emerald Triangle and is easily accessible to clients in Sonoma, Mendocino, Lake, Napa, and Trinity counties. Our Los Angeles and Irvine offices are convenient for clients throughout Southern California.
Tim is based in the Los Angeles and Irvine offices. He is an award-winning litigator with a wealth of experience in California state and federal trial and appellate courts. Formerly the head of litigation at Google and a partner at three leading international law firms, and a former journalist, Tim is dedicated to the First Amendment and other civil rights, and focuses his practice on clients in the cannabis, media, tech, and entertainment industries. Tim has been counsel for leading internet, news media and advertising companies in ground-breaking appellate decisions, including writ proceedings challenging government regulations. With the rapid growth of the legal cannabis industry, companies in that industry have turned to Tim for advice and representation in high-stakes intellectual property litigation, contract and other commercial disputes, and disputes with regulators.
Delia, based in Santa Rosa, specializes in business transactions, with a focus on the California cannabis industry. Delia’s practice includes corporate formation and transactions, contract preparation and review, cannabis licensing and compliance advice, and intellectual property (e.g., trademark and copyright). She has successfully assisted numerous clients obtain local permits, state licenses, trademark registrations, and provided advice on corporate and cannabis compliance.
Delia and Tim share the firm’s mission to provide the highest quality legal services to our clients with a personal touch.
